Heading South and Doing a Loop (Part 2 of 2)

On Saturday evening, we got a babysitter for the boys and we went out with the Bendecks to a yummy italian restaurant in downtown Atlanta.  It was Brad's birthday too!

Patrick said he enjoyed the family time on the trip, but it was really nice to get out and be with friends he loved and just have some quality time together.  It was nice to have a date night in a hip city, too!

On Sunday, our highlight was attending Andy Stanley's church Northpoint.  Unfortunately, he was in Buckhead that day, but still our experience was amazing!  The boys came out of Waumba Land and UpStreet and said they didn't want to leave church.  Wow.

Alas, it was time to say goodbye to our friends and that was sad.

On our loop back, we stopped by Greenville, SC for lunch and it was this strip of riverfront restaurants on hills and it felt like Great Falls meets San Francisco.

Our final stop on Sunday was back to the Hessels.  After some family time, we hired another sitter and went out to another birthday dinner.

What a wonderful weekend.  I'm so glad we did it.  It took some coordinating, but worth every minute.  It was especially wonderful to see old friends and just spend time together as if we weren't miles apart.  That's the great thing about good friends, you just pick up where you left off.
